Limited Workmanship Warranty (Sample)

 

At RJ’s Carpet & Vinyl, we take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and professional installation on every project. This sample workmanship warranty is provided to help customers understand the general standards, coverage, and limitations associated with our installation services. Our goal is to stand behind our work while setting clear expectations, ensuring transparency, and providing peace of mind to our customers.

FLOORING (Carpet & Vinyl Sheet) – One Year Limited Workmanship Warranty
RJ’s will perform all flooring installation work in a professional manner using proper materials and supplies. Upon notice from Customer, RJ’s will correct any faults related to defective workmanship at no additional cost to the Customer for a period of one (1) year from the date of substantial completion of the work. Please be sure to properly ventilate areas where new flooring has been installed for at least 24 hours after installation to avoid possible sensitivities to new material fumes or odors.

TERMS, CONDITIONS & LIMITATIONS
RJ's will not be responsible to repair any defect covered under this warranty if not notified by the customer, within 15 (fifteen) days of discovering the defect. This obligation on behalf of the customer shall commence on the effective date of this warranty.

No warranty is valid unless and until Customer has made full payment for services.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

This Limited Warranty does not cover the following items:

  1. Any installation defect that was apparent or ascertainable at the time the work was completed and was not corrected due to Customer’s request;

  2. Damage related to subsequent alterations, misuse or abuse of the covered items by any person other than RJ’s;

  3. Damage resulting from fires, storms, electrical malfunctions, accidents, floods, sub-grade moisture conditions, leaks or acts of God;

  4. Damage related to Customer's failure to observe any instructions from RJ’s and/or requirements of the manufacturer with respect to the product, including without limitation failure to control humidity and temperature levels within the home;

  5. Any item(s) furnished by the Customer

WHAT VOIDS THIS WARRANTY

Installation, repair, adjustment, tampering, removal and/or re-install by anyone other than RJ’s voids this warranty document and RJ’s disclaims all liability for any costs, defects, or damages with respect to such actions. 

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, we provide take up and disposal of existing floors.

  • Right away. However, depending on the type of floor installed, if furniture needs to be put back it must be done with care. Sliding it across the floor or placing heavy contents on newly installed vinyl material can puncture it. Some situations may require you to wait 24 hours before moving contents back.

  • Yes, both take up and disposal is an additional cost. It varies based on the flooring being taken up.

  • No, we do not install heated flooring.

  • Yes. Our crews will work into the late evening and on weekends.

  • Various styles of Carpet (no wool), Sheet Vinyl, LVP, LVT, VCT, Laminate, Engineered Hardwood (no natural wood), Ceramic and Backsplash Tile, Rubber Gym Rolls or Tile, Commercial Broadloom Carpet, Modular and Walk-Off Carpet Tile.
